From here the ceiling looks sacred. Like some sort of vast open field. Stretched out from on top of my mattress, I imagine more miles on these wheels. For years I was lost, I was walking in circles. But, now I've finally found a straight line. The shitty bars and the old pissed off waitress. Only regret is wasting my time. But not for nothing We keep chasing every line. But, we're doing alright. We drank from an old rusted gas tank. We waded our way through the flood. To trade this would seem so dishonest. These friendships are more than enough. From covering ground, to shows on the weekends. Cancelled dates and turning around. To the last minute shows that go down in the basements, my release is screaming outloud. But not for nothing We keep chasing every line. We keep moving We've got nothing left but time. Every time we left on a minor four day trip I'll think of all the friends we've met, and the ones we'll meet again. Every time we go down any darkened road I'll think of all the friends we've made, and the ones we're still to know The beauty in movement is not standing still. But, if the truth is too honest, then it's not free will. Taking your chances with time to kill. But, if the truth is too honest, then it's not free will.
